Córdoba to Host III AFE & APCE Joint Congress in July 2026 with Institutional Backing
The city of Córdoba will host the III Joint Congress of the Asociación de Ferias Españolas (AFE) and the Asociación de Palacios de Congresos de España (APCE) from 8 to 11 July 2026, backed by the Córdoba City Council and the Junta de Andalucía. The event will bring together more than 200 senior MICE professionals from trade fair organisations, congress venues and specialised companies over four days of sessions, working lunches, dinners and cultural activities. For the first time, the congress will use both the city trade fair venue and congress palace simultaneously, showcasing the complementarity of both sectors. AFE president Xabier Basañez highlighted trade fair and congress venues as strategic economic infrastructure, while APCE president Sylvia Andrés emphasised the consolidation of a shared strategy between the exhibition and congress sectors. The Junta de Andalucía noted that Córdoba welcomed 2.1 million visitors in 2025, with the highest airport passenger growth in Andalusia. AFE has 53 members and APCE groups 37 congress palaces.
