Intercarn 2026 at Alimentaria: 350 Companies, 1,500 Hosted Buyers, 4th Halal Congress
Intercarn 2026, the largest salon within Alimentaria, will take place March 23-26 at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, bringing together more than 350 national and international companies across 15,000 square metres — a 10% increase over 2024 — representing 25% of the total Alimentaria floor. Around 30% of exhibitors come from international markets including Belgium, Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, France, and Denmark. The Hosted Buyers program invites more than 1,500 major importers and distributors from priority markets including the UAE, China, South Korea, the UK, the USA, Canada, Thailand, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia; horeca and foodservice buyers will represent over 30% of accredited visitors. The 4th International Halal Congress will also take place, featuring presentations, showcookings, and roundtables. The Spanish meat industry produced over 8 million tonnes in 2025, with turnover of 41.3 billion euros and around 122,900 employees across 3,400 companies. Alimentaria+Hostelco overall expects 3,300 exhibitors, 100,000 net square metres, and 110,000+ professional visitors in its 50th anniversary edition.
