The Spanish Trade Fairs Association helps promote South Korea's leading trade fairs

Under the framework cooperation agreement signed in September 2025 with the Association of Korean Exhibition Industry (AKEI), the Spanish Trade Fairs Association (AFE) is circulating a list of South Korea's main trade fairs selected by the Korean association, of potential use to Spanish companies wishing to exhibit or visit. The agreement commits both associations to reciprocally promoting the fairs held in each country. The list covers 20 events — 15 annual and 5 biennial — with their venues, sectors and 2026 dates: among them Korea Build (construction, COEX Seoul), Robotworld (robotics, KINTEX), the Korea Electronics Grand Fair, Smart Tech Korea (AI and big data), Seoul Food, K-Beauty Expo, the Seoul International Cafe Show, SIMTOS (manufacturing technology), DX Korea (defence) and Offshore Korea, held at venues such as COEX, KINTEX, BEXCO and EXCO Daegu. AFE president Xabier Basañez said Korea is 'an emerging country with a high degree of technological specialisation that also stands out in the exhibition field', adding that AFE is pleased to promote its fairs just as AKEI has committed to doing for Spain's. AFE also reminded the sector of the upcoming 3rd AFE-APCE Congress in Córdoba, 8-11 July, gathering over 200 professionals under the motto 'Innovation, talent and new horizons'. Founded in 1964, the association has 55 members and represents 90% of Spain's trade fair activity.
