Spanish Trade Fairs Association adds a new organiser member and reaches 55 members

The board of the Spanish Trade Fairs Association (AFE) has unanimously approved the admission of NEODRINKS, a company of the EUPORIA SOLUTIONS group that organises CoffeeFest Madrid, as a new organiser member, bringing the association to 55 members. CoffeeFest, now four editions old, is described by its organisers as Europe's largest speciality coffee event, featuring talks, workshops, championships, tasting areas and the The Best Coffee Shops gala, plus spaces devoted to cacao, matcha tea and kombucha. AFE president Xabier Basañez welcomed the new member and said the milestone 'proves we are on the right track and adding value to the industry'. The association also reminded the sector that registration is open for the 3rd joint AFE-APCE Congress, held with the Association of Spanish Convention Centres, which will take place in Córdoba from 8 to 11 July with more than 200 attendees expected and, for the first time, two venues: the CEFC and the Congress Palace opposite the Mezquita. Founded in 1964, AFE represents 90% of Spain's trade fair activity — a sector with an estimated annual impact of 13.6 billion euros, a 6.9-billion-euro contribution to GDP and more than 124,400 direct and indirect jobs.
