The Business Factory Energy, promoted by the Xunta, launches its activity with its first working meeting

The IGAPE headquarters in Santiago de Compostela hosted the first working meeting of the Business Factory Energy (BFE), the new accelerator specialising in renewable energy and the energy transition promoted by the Xunta de Galicia and managed by clusters Cluergal and Asime, with the participation of Xesgalicia, INEGA and IGAPE. The session constituted the Executive Committee, formalised the Council of Driving Companies — comprising Navantia Seanergies, Instra Ingenieros, Reganosa, Genesal Energy, Naturgy, Grupo Intaf, Iberdrola and SGS — and approved the programme's first strategic lines and the challenges that will guide the identification of innovative solutions for the energy sector. IGAPE director general Covadonga Toca described the Business Factories as 'a safe bridge between entrepreneurs' talent and the reality of the global market', while INEGA director Pablo Fernández stressed the need to attract young talent. The programme will run three editions between 2026 and 2028, selecting up to 30 projects per call across incubation, acceleration and consolidation tracks. The BFE will have an IGAPE budget of 600,000 euros in non-repayable grants for the period, which Xesgalicia will complement through equity stakes or participative loans with a capitalisation option: support can reach 50,000 euros for companies in the acceleration phase and up to 250,000 euros for those entering consolidation.
