The most dynamic side of Galiforest Abanca 2026 schedules 200 demonstrations of forestry machinery and systems

The eighth edition of the Galiforest Abanca forestry show, to be held from 2 to 4 July on the woodland and facilities of the Sergude Agricultural Training and Experimentation Centre (Boqueixón), will host around 200 demonstrations of machinery and systems repeated throughout the three days. Their staging in a real working environment is one of the show's main attractions: exhibitors can show their products in operation while professional visitors verify their performance and possibilities on site. Demonstrations will cover forestry and firewood processors, log splitters, portable sawmills, compact and high-volume chippers, winches, telescopic handlers, automatic stake-locking systems, robotic brush cutters and mowers, robotic cranes and consoles, processor simulators, remote-controlled clearing machines and mini-loaders, run by companies including Husqvarna, Industrias Guerra, Internaco, Hitraf, Millasur, Murat and Wood-Mizer España, alongside Galicia's food quality agency Agacal. The programme is rounded out with more recreational exhibitions, workshops and product trials: wood carving and chainsaw sculpture shows by Husqvarna, Phil Nobel, Emak and Stihl — which will also offer professional chainsaw trials and exhibitions of the Stihl Timbersports Series wood-sport disciplines, from vertical and horizontal log cutting to speed cutting and hand sawing — plus Agacal displays on life inside the beehive, ecosphere exhibits and grafting workshops, with visitors able to take part in some activities with the appropriate safety equipment.
