Liber 2026: International Book Fair Returns to Fira Barcelona in September

Liber 2026, the 44th edition of the international book and publishing fair, will take place September 29 to October 1 at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, organized by Fira de Barcelona and the Federation of Spanish Publishers (FGEE). The show expects around 250 exhibitors from more than 15 countries and approximately 9,000 professionals, nearly 40% of them international. The edition focuses on rights sales and opening new export markets, with key spaces including the Salon de Derechos (Rights Hall) for bilateral meetings on translation rights, international editions, and audiovisual projects; the Agora zone for presentations and new business models; Micro Liber for small and emerging publishers; and an Industry Services area covering editing, printing, production, and technology. The professional program includes around 70 conferences, roundtables, and presentations across six thematic tracks: Training, Innovation, Education, Audiobooks, Sector, and International. The Liber Gala will be held at the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC). The event is backed by the Spanish Ministry of Culture, ICEX, Barcelona City Council, and the Generalitat de Catalunya.
