MADHORROR Will Gather Horror Film Icons at Halloween

Freddy Krueger, the girl from The Exorcist and Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange will meet in Madrid this autumn at MADHORROR, the great international festival dedicated to horror, dark fantasy and Halloween culture, which will hold its first edition from October 30 to November 2, 2026 at IFEMA MADRID, with filmmaker Álex de la Iglesia as honorary patron. The first wave of confirmed guests includes Robert Englund, Linda Blair and Malcolm McDowell, along with Michael Biehn — co-star of Aliens —, Glen Schofield, Greg Nicotero, Sandy Petersen and Mister Jagger, in a lineup that will continue to expand in the coming weeks. MADHORROR will transform IFEMA MADRID into a great immersive journey of more than 25,000 square meters combining cinema, experiences and areas dedicated to gaming, comics and horror culture, configuring a complete leisure plan for the Halloween long weekend. Confirmed content includes horror passages and tunnels such as Obake Yashiki – 404 and the Cursed High School, inspired by traditional Japanese horror houses. The film festival will screen the 10 most acclaimed horror films from the international circuit, with tribute sessions and meetings with directors and actors. Three major exhibitions will honor the genre: 'DDT Special Effects: 35 years in the labyrinth of fantaterror', with original pieces by the Oscar-winning studio behind Pan's Labyrinth; '40 Years of Aliens', courtesy of 20th Century Studios; and 'Chicho Ibáñez Serrador: his favorite terrors'.
