RECI Opens Registration for Its 6th Smart City Congress to the Urban Innovation Ecosystem

The Spanish Network of Smart Cities (RECI) has opened registration for its 6th Smart City Congress, to be held on September 15 and 16 at FYCMA (Trade Fairs and Congress Center of Malaga), in confluence with the Greencities, Urban Intelligence & Smart Mobility Forum. The gathering is aimed at professionals in the smart cities field, representatives of public administrations, technology companies, institutions, knowledge centers and other key agents of the urban innovation ecosystem. The congress will analyze the new challenges facing smart cities through five strategic thematic blocks: urban AI and data governance, municipal cybersecurity, digital infrastructure and interoperability, energy and energy communities, and finally smart mobility and cooperation between cities. Over two days, experts, public managers and leading companies in the sector will address these challenges with the aim of promoting more sustainable, efficient and livable urban environments for citizens. Municipal technical staff from RECI member cities can register through the event's website. RECI, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, was founded in 2011 as a space for cooperation between municipalities with the goal of transforming urban environments into more sustainable, resilient spaces prepared to face future challenges. It currently brings together more than 170 cities and provincial councils across Spain.
