IFEMA Madrid Marks SICUR 25th Edition — the First Fair It Organised in 1980

IFEMA Madrid is commemorating the 25th edition of SICUR, the International Security Trade Fair, running 24-27 February 2026 — the first fair the institution organised when it launched operations in 1980. One of the most influential security trade fairs in Europe, SICUR brings together more than 670 exhibitors from 25 countries presenting innovations in public and private security, fire protection and emergency services, workplace safety and cybersecurity, with more than 45,000 professionals expected to visit. IFEMA executive vice-president Daniel Martinez described SICUR as a strategic event and industry barometer reflecting four decades of close collaboration with sector associations. The fair has been biennial since 1982. 2026 is also a landmark year for IFEMA Madrid, which will host 72 fairs (46 own, 26 external), 20 congresses, 4 fairs abroad and 15 indoor leisure events, plus the Formula 1 Grand Prix MADRING in September.
