SICUR 2026 EXO CORNER: Occupational Exoskeletons Take Centre Stage
SICUR 2026, the International Security Trade Fair at IFEMA MADRID from February 24 to 27, will host the second edition of EXO CORNER, a dedicated space for the analysis and promotion of occupational exoskeleton use, organised in collaboration with the Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia (IBV). The programme combines an exhibition area with a technical agenda featuring five expert presentations. The IBV will present findings from its latest studies on the biomechanical effects of exoskeletons and new guidelines for implementing them in sectors such as construction, metalworking, and hospitality. Healthy Suits will address the ten most common misconceptions about exoskeleton technology. Ergosanté and Hapo will demonstrate how exoskeletons are accessible not only to large industrial settings but also to SMEs, artisans, and HR departments seeking to reduce physical fatigue. Iruña-Biosafety will cover key steps for successful implementation in small and medium-sized enterprises. Expert Israel Benavides, drawing on more than ten years of experience, will examine the current state of exoskeleton adoption and the main barriers to broader acceptance in the workplace. EXO CORNER positions SICUR as a reference meeting point for ergonomics, innovation, and occupational safety professionals.
