SICUR 2026 closes 25th edition with 47,000 professionals from 83 countries and 120 million euros economic impact
SICUR 2026, the International Security Fair organized by IFEMA MADRID (February 24-27), closed its landmark 25th edition with more than 47,000 professionals from 83 countries, consolidating its leadership as the reference security event in southern Europe. The show brought together 673 exhibiting companies across four pavilions covering occupational safety, fire protection and security. Technical programme sessions - FORO SICUR, SICUR CYBER, EXO CORNER and the new Technology for Public Safety conference - drew around 2,600 attendees who debated NIS2/CER frameworks, IoT protection, biometrics and European cybersecurity funding. The economic impact on Madrid reached 120 million euros, up 6.7 percent on 2024, supporting 886 jobs. Latin America and 37 European countries were strongly represented, reinforcing SICUR as the key European gateway for the global security industry.
