SICUR 2026 Announces New Technologies for Public Safety Session

SICUR 2026, the International Security Fair (February 24-27 at IFEMA MADRID), has announced a new session — Technologies for Public Safety — on Thursday February 26 in Room N-101 of the Centro de Convenciones Norte at IFEMA MADRID, organized with the Círculo de Tecnologías para la Defensa y la Seguridad. The program addresses how rapidly evolving technologies — intelligent video surveillance, drones, AI, predictive analytics, biometric systems, citizen alert apps, 5G communications, smart sensors, and tracking devices — are transforming security models, alongside their regulatory, operational, and ethical challenges. The day includes two roundtables: the first at 12:00 with senior representatives of the National Police (Central Technological Support Unit), the Guardia Civil (Digital Transformation and Cybersecurity), the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and the Ministry of Interior; the second at 15:30, moderated by Silvia Gamo Perucha (Fundación Círculo de Tecnologías para la Defensa y la Seguridad), with CSIC, ITEFI, and technology industry experts. A debate session closes the day at 17:00. This session completes the SICUR 2026 program alongside FORO SICUR, SICUR CYBER, EXO CORNER, and a Brokerage Event.
