SMAGUA 2027 Holds the Second Meeting of Its Organizing Committee

SMAGUA, the International Water, Irrigation and Environment Show, held the second meeting of its Organizing Committee at the Zaragoza Congress Palace ahead of its edition from February 16 to 18, 2027 at Feria de Zaragoza. The meeting was marked by the formal incorporation of Spain's Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, along with the additions of SIMOP and Aqua España to the committee, chaired by the Ebro Hydrographic Confederation. The show has already reached 82% of 2025's direct exhibitors, with 19% new participating companies, and 91% of the surface area occupied in the previous edition, with average space per exhibitor growing 8%; the 34,378 gross square meters of 2025 are already covered by current contracting, so Halls 3, 4, 9, 5 and part of 6 are expected to be used to accommodate growth. Internationally, group participations from China and Turkey will be joined by business delegations from Denmark and Switzerland, and the international missions will welcome importers, distributors and prescribers from more than 26 countries, alongside the Brokerage Event organized under the European Commission's Enterprise Europe Network. The edition introduces a new sectorization into nine major areas, a new website, app and exhibitor platform, and will hold the New Talent Day on February 18 aimed at vocational and secondary school students. SMAGUA will once again be held simultaneously with SPAPER, the International Pulp, Paper and Cardboard Machinery Show.
