Smart City Expo 2026 Accelerates Toward Urban Solutions with Real Impact
Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC), the leading international event on cities and smart urban solutions organized by Fira de Barcelona, will hold its 2026 edition from November 3 to 5 at the Gran Via venue under the motto "Urban Solutions, Real Impact". The gathering will bring together 1,000 cities, more than 25,000 attendees, over 1,000 exhibitors and 600 speakers. The congress program is structured around seven tracks: enabling technologies, energy and environment, mobility, governance and economy, living and inclusion, infrastructure and building, and blue economy. This edition places a special focus on housing, delving into urban planning and territorial policy, housing regulation, social and affordable housing, building innovation, and renovation and reuse; director Ugo Valenti stressed that access to affordable housing is one of the defining challenges of our time. Confirmed exhibitors include Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Dell Technology, Deutsche Telekom IoT, ESRI, Veolia and Dahua Technology, alongside country and city pavilions from Germany, China, Japan, the US, Korea, Berlin and Tokyo, among others. The new "Terra50" exhibition will showcase the world's 50 best urban sustainability solutions, selected on the basis of proven results. SCEWC 2026 will be held jointly with Tomorrow.Mobility, Tomorrow.Blue Economy, the Barcelona Deep Tech Summit and the Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress.
