Smart City Expo Curitiba 2026 Opens Its 7th Edition with 140 Companies and 22,000 Visitors

Fira de Barcelona, Smart City Expo World Congress, and iCities are hosting the 7th edition of Smart City Expo Curitiba from March 25 to 27 in Brazil, supported by the Curitiba city prefecture and the Vale do Pinhao Innovation Agency. The event, themed around cities as places to innovate, create, and experiment, will bring together 140 companies, 85 speakers, and an expected 22,000 visitors. The congress pivots on five thematic axes: Technology and Business Disruption; Digital Transformation and Innovation; Sustainable Cities and Climate Change; Governance and Digital Spaces; and Cities for People and Public Spaces. Featured speakers include Shain Shapiro, expert in culture, music, and urban transformation; Livia Schaeffer Nonose, technology and innovation specialist; Jose de La Uz, Mayor of Las Rozas and president of the Spanish Smart Cities Network; and Isabel Sabadi, Director of 22@Network Barcelona. Exhibiting companies include Dassault Systemes, Sebrae PR, EMnify, and Axis Communications. The Brazilian Awards will recognize outstanding projects in innovation, sustainable cities, urban mobility, and social equity. This is the first of 13 international events Fira de Barcelona is organizing outside Spain in 2026, ahead of editions in Doha, Puebla, Santiago, and other cities.
