Transfiere closes its 15th-anniversary edition with 4,700 participants

Transfiere, the European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation, closed its 15th-anniversary edition in Málaga with 4,700 participants and delegations from over 20 countries. The 2026 edition brought together more than 600 entities, with 100 thematic panels and over 300 speakers. Closing awards included the XI Transfiere Journalism Prize for science communication — covering superdrones, customisable lenses and brain electrodes — the VI Open Call for Deep Tech Startups won by Altum Sequencing, and the Premio Empresa Innovadora awarded to sustainability consultancy Bioazul. Across its 15 editions Transfiere has hosted over 50,000 visitors, 3,200 speakers and 15,700 participating entities. The forum is organised by Málaga City Council, the Junta de Andalucía and Spain's Ministry of Science, with FYCMA as executive director.
