Transfiere 2026 Deepens International Reach with South Korea as Guest Country

Transfiere 2026, the European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation, marked its second day of its 15th edition by spotlighting the Republic of Korea as guest country, showcasing its innovative ecosystem and university-industry collaboration model. Korean delegates presented the session From Laboratory to Global Market: the Engine of Innovation in Korea, emphasising an interconnected ecosystem of research institutes, universities, industry and regional hubs. The day featured the VI Open Call for Deep Tech Startups, with five finalists — Altum Sequencing, Calpech, Deep Detection, Orbital Boost Aerospace and PhotoKrete — competing for the best emerging project award. Key themes included technological sovereignty, public-private collaboration in deeptech, venture building and R&D talent. More than 600 organisations from over 20 countries participate alongside 50 universities and delegations from across Spain. The forum, organised by Malaga City Council, the Junta de Andalucia and the Spanish Ministry of Science, closes on 26 February with FYCMA as executive director.
