A design by Cinta Arribas will be the visual identity of Liber 2026

Valladolid-born illustrator Cinta Arribas has won the Liber 2026 Illustration Contest, and her design will become the official visual identity of the international book fair, to be held from 29 September to 1 October at Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via venue. Her proposal was chosen for conveying Liber's spirit as a space of connection between people, cultures and generations through books. Trained in Fine Arts in Salamanca and Kassel, Arribas is a regular contributor to El País and has worked for The New York Times, Google, Camper and Courrier International; her honours include the 2024 APIM Prize and a runner-up award at the ABC Museum's Press Illustration Contest in 2023. The jury selected her from three finalists — alongside Carmen Segovia and Daniel Montero — out of 236 entries submitted to the contest's sixth edition, organised with the advice of illustrators' federation FADIP. Liber 2026, organised by Fira de Barcelona and promoted by the Spanish Federation of Publishers' Guilds (FGEE), expects to gather around 250 exhibitors from more than 15 countries and over 9,000 publishing professionals, with a focus on rights trading, new markets and the sector's key challenges.
