Valencia Presents in Madrid Its Great Design Month with a Strategic Alliance Between Feria Valencia, ICEX and the Design Foundation
ICEX's Madrid headquarters hosted the official presentation of the program that will turn Valencia, between September and October, into one of the great international hubs for design, innovation, industry and creativity. The event, organized by Feria Valencia and the Design Foundation of the Valencian Community in collaboration with ICEX, reinforces the strategic alliance between institutions committed to the internationalization of Spanish design, consolidating the legacy of World Design Capital Valencia 2022 and the city's recognition as a UNESCO City of Design since 2023. From September 28 to October 1, Feria Valencia will host the simultaneous celebration of Feria Hábitat València, Textilhogar, Espacio Cocina SICI, 360 by Cevisama and the Nude salon for emerging talents, one of Europe's largest specialized habitat gatherings. Announced novelties include the participation of internationally prestigious design firms presenting furniture and lighting proposals oriented toward more organic forms, and a specific exhibition on how materials such as wood, stone, clay, concrete and metal are reinventing themselves. For its part, València Design Fest will run from September 11 to October 15 with Poland as guest country, and will include a new edition of 'Tiempo + Materia' dedicated to contemporary craftsmanship, the 'Generous City' architecture day, children's workshops, a film and design series with La Filmoteca, the sixth 'Night at the Museum' and the international 'Future of Fashion' gathering on October 15. This edition of Feria Hábitat also has the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
