World Maritime Week Advances Toward Its Sixth Edition with the First Companies and Institutions Confirmed
World Maritime Week 2027 will bring together professionals, companies, associations and institutions of the maritime industry on March 9 and 10 at Bilbao Exhibition Centre, consolidating itself as a meeting point to share knowledge, generate business opportunities and drive new alliances around the sector. Business participation is already taking shape in the exhibition area: Astilleros Armon, Astilleros Murueta, Bergen Engines, Bureau Veritas, GEA Westfalia, Igus, the Social Institute of the Navy, Murimar Seguros, Sintemar and Stem Fuels, among other companies, have confirmed their presence, where they will present products, services and solutions for the maritime industry. This backing is joined by the support of leading entities such as the Basque Maritime Forum, BASQUENERGY Cluster, the Port Authority of Bilbao and Uniport, along with sector associations such as AINE, AVCCMM, ANAVAS and ASMANAVE. The program will combine cross-cutting content on innovation, sustainability and digitalization with specialized sessions: Sinaval, Eurofishing, FuturePort and Marine Energy will structure the thematic axes with a specialized view of the shipbuilding, fishing, port and marine renewable energy sectors. Networking will again feature prominently with the Hosted Buyers' Programme of B2B meetings between exhibitors and national and international buyers, and the third edition of the WMW Awards. The event, organized by BEC with the support of the Basque Government and the Bizkaia Provincial Council, draws on the Basque Country's industrial, port, naval and technological fabric, closely linked to the blue economy.
