Apollo Funds Complete Acquisitions of Emerald and Questex

Apollo-managed funds have completed the acquisitions of Emerald Holding, Inc. and Questex, LLC, combining the two B2B event and media businesses into a single platform. Paul Miller has taken over as chief executive of the combined company, while former Emerald chief executive Hervé Sedky has moved to a senior advisor role. The new executive team also names Vince DiMaggio as chief financial officer, Issa Jouaneh as chief operating officer, Kate Spellman as chief commercial officer, Kurt Nelson as chief talent officer and Sara Altschul as chief legal officer and company secretary. The two businesses will be fully integrated over the coming months. With the deal closed, Emerald common stock has ceased trading and is no longer listed on the New York Stock Exchange; Emerald stockholders receive 5.03 US dollars per share in cash. Shahid Bosan, managing director at Apollo, said the transaction brings together two market leaders to create a scaled platform able to accelerate organic growth and invest in innovation. Apollo reported approximately 1.03 trillion US dollars of assets under management as of 31 March 2026.
