AUMA and fwd: Publish Reporting Compass for Voluntary Sustainability Reporting in the Trade Fair Industry

AUMA and the German events industry federation fwd: have published a Reporting Compass, a guidance paper for voluntary sustainability reporting in the trade fair industry. It applies the Voluntary Standard adopted by the European Commission in July 2026 to the specifics of the sector, taking in the perspectives of trade fair companies, stand builders, service providers, agencies, logistics firms and caterers, and is aimed at staff responsible for sustainability, quality management, controlling and compliance. Marko Roscher of fwd: says many small and medium-sized companies need practical help to identify relevant topics and build up data step by step. Nikolai Mizin, who leads the project at AUMA, calls it an important step towards more standardisation and comparability.
