Beau Sutherland Named General Manager of Peoria Civic Center

The Peoria Civic Center Authority and Legends Global have appointed Beau Sutherland as general manager of the Peoria Civic Center in Illinois. He had served as interim general manager since 1 June 2026 and previously as assistant general manager. Sutherland began working at the facility in August 2000 and is among its longest-tenured employees to take the role. He has held leadership positions in sales, marketing and business development, and concurrently served as regional marketing director for ASM Global, supporting venue marketing teams nationwide, before becoming assistant general manager in November 2024. His work in convention sales and destination development helped make fiscal year 2025 the strongest in the venue's history for convention centre performance and overall revenue. He secured the naming rights partnership for the Prairie Home Alliance Theater and helped establish a partnership with CXT Coffee that added a café at the venue. As general manager he oversees all operations across the theatre, arena and convention centre. Authority board chair Rick Semonis said Sutherland has consistently delivered results and understands the market. Sutherland said the facility has been his professional home for more than two decades.
