Canada to bring largest ever delegation as CIIE guest of honour

A reception for consulates in Shanghai and exhibition organising agencies was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai on 27 July 2026, marking 100 days to the 9th China International Import Expo. Francis Lindsay of the Canadian side said Canada, which served as guest of honour at the first CIIE in 2018, sees its return in that role as a milestone and will bring its largest delegation to date, gathering more than 100 exhibitors across agriculture and food, consumer goods, health products and finance, reflecting strong interest from Canadian business in the Chinese market. The 9th CIIE runs in Shanghai from 5 to 10 November 2026.
