China Placed 28 Shows in UFI's Global Top 100 Trade Fairs, Averaging 244,000 Square Metres Each

According to UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, 28 Chinese shows made the world's top 100 trade fairs ranking in 2025, the second-largest national total behind Germany's 44. By city, Shanghai led all Chinese provinces and municipalities with 16 shows on the list, followed by Beijing with five, Shenzhen with three, Guangzhou with two, Nanjing with one and Hong Kong with one. On scale, the average size of the Chinese shows in the ranking rose from 125,000 square metres in 2008 to 244,000 square metres in 2025, and has now exceeded both the global average and the German average for two consecutive years: UFI put the global average for listed shows at 226,000 square metres in 2024 and the German average at 220,000 square metres. The shift indicates that China's leading trade fairs keep growing in individual scale and carry more weight in the global large-show landscape, consistent with the record numbers and floor space recorded across the domestic market in the same year.
