China-UK trade event in London promotes ninth CIIE

An Export to China event dedicated to the United Kingdom was held in London on 1 July 2026, promoting the 9th China International Import Expo. Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao said the United Kingdom is China third largest trading partner in Europe while China is Britain largest trading partner in Asia, and that economic and trade cooperation between the two continues to deepen through complementary industries and connected market factors. More than 300 entrepreneurs, trade association representatives and government officials from both countries attended, covering fields including automotive, energy and chemicals, instrumentation, sports events and life sciences.
