China's UFI Membership Reached 258 by December 2025, Led by Shanghai with 43

The number of Chinese organisations holding membership of UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, continued to rise through 2025, one of the standard external gauges of how far a national exhibition sector is plugged into the world market. UFI's global membership report put China's total, excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, at 258 members as of December 2025, five more than in 2024. By city, Shanghai led with 43 members, followed by Beijing with 26, Shenzhen with 22 and Guangzhou with 20. Chengdu and Hangzhou shared fifth place with ten each, Jinan and Ningbo shared seventh with nine each, and Nanjing, Wuhan and Xi'an shared ninth with seven each. Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen therefore remain the three cities with the most UFI member organisations in China. UFI membership is one of the standard measures of how internationally connected an exhibition company or project is, and the steady growth in the Chinese total reflects the deepening integration of Chinese exhibition organisations into the international industry system.
