CIIE holds promotion seminar in Hong Kong for ninth edition

A CIIE working group led by Wu Zhengping, deputy director of the China International Import Expo Bureau and chairman of the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, held a promotion seminar in Hong Kong from 28 to 30 January 2026 to encourage Hong Kong companies to join the 9th CIIE. The group met the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Hong Kong Tourism Board and the Fung Group, all of which have exhibited at all eight editions, as well as Lo Kam-wing, president of the Chinese Manufacturers Association of Hong Kong, and Guy Bradley, chairman of Swire Group China. Wu said Hong Kong advantage of being backed by the mainland while connected to the world makes the expo a route for the city to pursue high-quality economic development and integrate into national development, adding that Hong Kong has been an important participant since the expo began in 2018.
