CIIE signs cooperation with Vietnam trade promotion agency at Hanoi seminar

A seminar for the 9th China International Import Expo was held in Hanoi on the morning of 5 February 2026 local time. Li Guoqing, deputy director of the CIIE Bureau, met the economic and commercial office of the Chinese embassy in Vietnam, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Hanoi branch of ICBC and Vietnamese company representatives to discuss bringing more Vietnamese firms to the expo. At the seminar the CIIE Bureau and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency signed a cooperation agreement for the 9th edition. Bui Quang Hung, deputy director of the Vietnamese agency, said China is Vietnam second largest export market, that Vietnamese agricultural and food companies hope to raise their share of the Chinese market through the expo, and that Vietnam will expand its exhibition scale and bring more products this year. Li Zhenmin, counsellor at the Chinese embassy commercial office, called for both sides to make full use of the platform. Pang Liang, deputy head of the ICBC Hanoi branch, said the bank, a comprehensive CIIE partner, would continue providing financial services to exhibitors.
