CIIE working group promotes ninth edition in Auckland

A CIIE working group led by Ge Hong, deputy director of the China International Import Expo Bureau, carried out promotion activities for the 9th CIIE in Auckland on 9 and 10 March 2026 local time. Attendees included Wang Chengguang, consul at the Chinese consulate general in Auckland; Anna-May Isbey, international cooperation adviser to the Auckland Business Chamber and director of the New Zealand China Business Roundtable; Hu Beihai, president of the China Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand and head of the Bank of China subsidiary there; Liu Bin, head of ICBC New Zealand; Yang Jian, chairman of the New Zealand Chinese Business Club; and representatives of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. Ge said the expo, the first national-level fair devoted to imports, has been held eight times since 2018 and offers companies broad access to the Chinese market, inviting New Zealand institutions and firms to take part. He said the organiser will recruit trade visitors widely, create precise matchmaking settings and provide convenient services.
