Consumer Shows Drew 56% of UK Exhibition Visits in 2025 and Primary Venues 68%

The UK's main exhibition venues recorded around 6.77 million visits in 2025: 3.82 million at consumer exhibitions, 2.29 million at trade exhibitions and 0.66 million at conferences with an exhibition element. By venue the split was 4.59 million at primary venues, 1.16 million at secondary venues and 1.02 million at other and outdoor venues. In share terms consumer exhibitions accounted for 56% of all visits, trade exhibitions 34% and conferences 10%, while primary venues took 68%, secondary venues 17% and other and outdoor venues 15%. Event-level attendance varied widely. Across all exhibitions the median was 2,100 visitors and the average 5,900. Consumer exhibitions had a median of 4,800 and an average of 10,600; trade exhibitions a median of 2,400 and an average of 4,800; conferences a median of 1,000 and an average of 2,100. Primary venues recorded a median of 5,400 and an average of 11,100 per event, against 1,400 and 2,800 at secondary venues and 900 and 3,100 at other and outdoor venues. In every category the average sits well above the median.
