Despite Economic Headwinds, NürnbergMesse Remains Profitable and Enjoys Worldwide Growth

NürnbergMesse Group has published its 2025 results, reporting sales of EUR 345.5 million from 158 events worldwide, against EUR 265.1 million from 177 events in 2023, the comparable odd-numbered year. EBITDA rose to EUR 41 million from EUR 28.4 million, and consolidated net income reached EUR 2.2 million against a loss of EUR 1.1 million in 2023, the first positive result in a light event year since the pandemic. Own and partner events in Germany accounted for 38 percent of sales, event-adjacent services 24 percent, international business 21 percent and guest events 17 percent. About 1.5 million visitors, up 15 percent, and 31,732 exhibitors, up 12.8 percent, met on roughly 1.1 million square metres, up 21.6 percent. Almost half of exhibitors, 10,470, and about a quarter of visitors, 175,206, came from outside Germany. Average group headcount rose to 1,267, with 61 people in vocational training and dual-study programmes and eight graduate trainees. CEO Peter Ottmann and CFO Dirk Blum said the security cluster of Enforce Tac, it-sa and Perimeter Protection was especially strong and that the group expects record sales of around EUR 375 million for the 2026 trade fair year.
