Deutsche Messe creates dedicated business unit for HANNOVER MESSE

Deutsche Messe AG established a business unit focused exclusively on HANNOVER MESSE and closely related partner events with effect from 1 March 2026, aiming to strengthen the long-term development, international positioning and thematic profile of its flagship industrial technology fair and to intensify market development in automation, digitalisation, energy and innovation. Christian Pfeiffer, previously Senior Vice President Sales, was appointed to lead the unit HANNOVER MESSE & Partner Events, bringing more than 20 years of international trade fair and sales experience and prior management and board roles at several international subsidiaries and joint ventures. The unit consolidates the fair core topics into three departments: Automation & Drive Technology under Carolin Illig, covering robotics, industrial automation and drive technology; Digitalization & Energy under Hubertus von Monschaw, covering industrial IT, AI-driven applications, platform solutions, data ecosystems and energy systems; and Innovation, Production & Investment under Kathrin Schmidt, covering research and technology transfer, compressed air and vacuum technology, startups, foreign trade and investment, and industrial supply and engineering.
