DMEA digital health fair to move from Berlin to Munich in 2027
The German Association of Healthcare IT Vendors (bvitg) and Messe München announced a strategic partnership to jointly organise DMEA, Europe leading event for digitalisation in healthcare, which will relocate from Berlin to the Munich exhibition centre. DMEA 2027 runs from 13 to 15 April 2027, the first edition at the new venue, with more than 20,000 visitors and over 800 exhibitors expected annually. The partners said the cooperation focuses on growth and a stronger international orientation for the event. bvitg CEO Matthias Meierhofer said the new location creates the epicentre of digital healthcare in Europe, pooling industry, research and self-governing bodies. Messe München CEOs Reinhard Pfeiffer and Stefan Rummel said Munich offers the right ecosystem for demanding technology and science trade fairs. bvitg managing director Dagmar Brandenstein said the move pairs the leading digital health format with a trade fair partner at the top level, economically strong and leading in exhibition technology.
