DWTC puts its 2025 business events economic output at AED 25.03 billion across 108 large events

Dubai World Trade Centre hosted 108 large-scale exhibitions, conventions and conferences in 2025, drawing 2.18 million attendees. On the economic impact assessment DWTC commissioned for the year, those events generated AED 25.03 billion, about USD 6.82 billion, of economic output for Dubai, up 12 percent on 2024, of which AED 14.66 billion was gross value added to the emirate's GDP. The assessment also credits the calendar with supporting 94,000 jobs across the MICE ecosystem, up 10 percent, and generating AED 4.7 billion in disposable household income, up 13.6 percent on 2024. Direct spending across adjacent sectors came to AED 13.48 billion, while the MICE sector itself recorded AED 4.5 billion in sales value. DWTC states that every dirham spent at its events produced AED 5.5 in total citywide output. These are the venue operator's own commissioned estimates for a single Dubai venue, not national statistics for the United Arab Emirates.
