ECA Launches Ambassadors Circle with 28 Inaugural Industry Advocates

The Exhibitions & Conferences Alliance, the public policy voice of the United States business and professional events industry, has launched the ECA Ambassadors Circle, a programme to recognise, empower and engage the sector's most committed advocates. Part of the ECA 2.0 agenda, it gives a selected group of industry leaders year-round specialised programming, advanced advocacy training and new ways to amplify the industry's voice with policymakers and peers. The inaugural cohort numbers 28 leaders drawn from organisers, contractors, venues, destination organisations, technology providers and associations, including executives from RX Global, Clarion Events North America, GES, CORT Events, Shepard Exposition Services, Easyfairs US, MGM Resorts International and the International Congress and Convention Association. Ambassadors take a leading role in the alliance's advocacy work through the year and in return receive advocate education, professional development, VIP access at selected ECA events, invitations to private roundtables with policymakers and public recognition. ECA board chair Fernando Fischer, president for the Americas at RX, said decisions made in Washington and state capitals will shape the industry's future. President and chief executive Tommy Goodwin said the cohort will help make the case for policies that create jobs and keep the United States a leading destination for business events. ECA's members include CTA, EDPA, ESCA, IAEE, IAVM, ICCA, PCMA, SISO and UFI.
