EDRR Indonesia 2026 Presents Fire and Disaster Response Technology as Hotspot Numbers Climb

The Emergency Disaster Reduction & Rescue (EDRR) Expo Indonesia, an international show for disaster mitigation, rescue and emergency equipment, ran from 12 to 14 August 2026 in Hall D at JIEXPO Kemayoran in Central Jakarta. Organised by Seven Event, the B2B exhibition presented future technology solutions, equipment and safety management systems for disaster preparedness. Fire remains a central concern amid extreme climate conditions since the start of 2026: the meteorology, climatology and geophysics agency BMKG forecasts a drier than usual dry season with a possible strengthening of El Niño, raising the risk of both settlement fires and forest and land fires, and has recorded more than 1,600 hotspots since the beginning of the year. EDRR Indonesia project director Vista Limbong said Indonesia's exposure to settlement, industrial and forest fires calls for solutions that are fast, efficient and easy to deploy in the field, and that the show is intended to connect safety technology manufacturers with government agencies, the private sector and humanitarian organisations. Exhibitors included Timecore Intelligent Equipment, Nanjing Zhengze Technology, Safety Plus Industrial, Shanghai Chentong International Trading and Ningbo Hos Fire Fighting Equipment. The show drew support from bodies including Kemenko PMK, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, BASARNAS, BMKG, BNPB, the national police, the armed forces, the Jakarta disaster agency and BRIN, and featured seminars, workshops and rescue simulations.
