Egypt Named Premier Partner of WTM London 2026
Egypt has been named Premier Partner of WTM London 2026, which runs 3 to 5 November at Excel London. The status brings expanded stand space and greater prominence at the show. Egypt has exhibited at every edition since WTM London began in 1980, and its footprint has grown by close to 90 percent since 2023, with the 2025 stand hosting roughly 90 co-exhibitors; the 2026 presence expands further. Independent Egyptian exhibitors also take part, among them flag carrier EgyptAir along with hotel chains and destination management companies. The partnership is set against a strong year for the country: Egypt received nearly 19 million international visitors in 2025, up 21 percent on 2024 and well ahead of the 5 percent global growth rate, with flights operating from close to 200 cities worldwide. The authorities are targeting 30 million arrivals by 2031. Ahmed Youseff, Chief Executive of the Egyptian Tourism Authority, said WTM London has been instrumental in helping Egypt become one of the world's most popular leisure destinations. Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathi said the partnership reflects Egypt's strategic vision to position itself as a leading global tourism destination. Chris Carter-Chapman is Event Director of WTM London.
