Emerald Design Group Launches Inaugural Workplace Design Summit

Emerald's Design Group, a North American producer of design events and media, has announced the launch of the Workplace Design Summit, a new event devoted to the design, technology and innovation shaping modern commercial workspaces. The inaugural edition will run 3 to 5 May 2027 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, gathering architects, interior designers, corporate real estate leaders, dealers, integrators and manufacturers in a format built around collaboration and discovery. The launch is being developed in close partnership with My Resource Library, whose expertise and ongoing feedback shaped the event vision and format. The programme will combine immersive design activations, curated one-to-one meetings, expert-led education sessions and networking, alongside experimental design labs showing emerging workplace concepts from hybrid collaboration zones to next-generation materials and technologies. Rather than simply displaying products, the Summit is positioned to examine how workplace design influences culture, performance and the human experience at work. Jennifer Kovacs Silvis, Vice President and Brand Director at Emerald, said the environments that support work must evolve as fast as work itself. Show Director Joe Tucker said organisations are rethinking not only where people work but why they gather in physical spaces at all. Jeff Carlson, Principal of My Resource Library, said the industry has signalled a need for something more intentional than a traditional trade show.
