ESCA Introduces ESCA 3.0 Strategic Framework for the Exposition Services Industry

The Exhibition Services & Contractors Association has introduced ESCA 3.0, a refreshed set of strategic priorities intended to guide the exposition services industry into its next chapter. The framework was unveiled by ESCA president Randy Pekowski, president and chief executive of The Expo Group, at the association's Summer Educational Conference in Banff, Canada, in June 2026. It is organised around four priorities: advocacy and industry voice, covering defence of the sector's interests and representation in policy and regulation; NextGen and workforce development, covering recruitment, training, mentoring and retention; industry standards and safety, aimed at reducing the complexity of exhibiting through shared standards, platforms and safety practices; and community and connection, keeping the association as the link across the exhibition industry. Executive director Julie Kagy said the four priorities came out of a year of listening to members. A four-part video series introducing the framework has been published. Separately, the ESCA board named Pekowski as its representative on the board of the Exhibitions & Conferences Alliance, continuing long-standing representation there; ECA president and chief executive Tommy Goodwin welcomed the appointment. ESCA was established in 1970.
