Exhibitions and Conferences Alliance Launches ECA Ambassadors Circle to Strengthen Industry Advocacy Efforts
The Exhibitions and Conferences Alliance, the public policy voice of the US business and professional events industry, has launched the ECA Ambassadors Circle as part of its ECA 2.0 programme. ECA is a coalition of nine associations: the Consumer Technology Association, the Experiential Designers and Producers Association, the Exhibition Services and Contractors Association, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events, the International Association of Venue Managers, the International Congress and Convention Association, PCMA, the Society of Independent Show Organizers, and UFI. The Ambassadors Circle identifies and equips industry leaders who commit to advocacy work, giving them specialised training, year-round programming and structured opportunities to reach policymakers. Twenty-eight inaugural ambassadors have been named, drawn from venue executives, event planners and other industry professionals. Members receive VIP access to ECA events, invitations to private roundtables with policymakers, advocacy education and professional development. ECA Board Chair Fernando Fischer said the future of the industry will be shaped by decisions made in Washington DC and in state capitals. ECA President and CEO Tommy Goodwin said the ambassadors will help amplify the case for policies that strengthen the industry.
