FEIAP Holds Its Largest Gathering in 48 Years in Sarawak
Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak) said the 34th FEIAP General Assembly, 8th FEIAP Convention & World Engineering Congress and Youth Talent Innovation Challenge 2026, which it supported, were the largest FEIAP gathering in the body's 48-year history. According to BESarawak, Sarawak welcomed around 800 engineers, students, policymakers and industry leaders from across Asia and the Pacific, and over 800 attendees gathered under the theme "Engineering the Sustainable Transition Through Innovation and Resilience", tackling challenges from climate change and sustainable energy to infrastructure, AI, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing and aerospace. Officiating the event, the Premier of Sarawak emphasised that infrastructure, energy, technology, the environment and human talent must move together if Sarawak is to achieve its ambitions under PCDS 2030, and stressed that investing in people is the most important investment for the future, especially as the world faces declining interest in STEM and increasingly complex challenges such as climate change and carbon emissions.
