FICOBA Kicks Off 2026 with an Intense and Diverse Calendar
FICOBA, the Recinto Ferial de Gipuzkoa (Basque Country fair venue), is launching 2026 with a packed and varied schedule of events spanning late January through February. Among the highlights, the venue will host the AFOMEF association meeting on January 30, focused on outcomes from the POCTEFA-funded FEDER European cross-border cooperation project. On February 13, the EmPACT i3 initiative brings together universities from across the Spain-France border region for a collaborative workshop. On February 24, the Twing Raid solidarity rally sets off from FICOBA with over 1,000 participants in approximately 500 vehicles, heading to Marrakech, Morocco, where they will donate food and supplies to local communities. The calendar also includes civil service examination sittings, the Sortu political party congress, the Burger Fest street-food event, a regional sports awards gala, and the anniversary celebration of a local radio station. The diversity of these events underscores FICOBA's role as a versatile, multi-functional venue serving professional, political, social, and cultural needs in the Basque region.
