FICP Names Jamie Murdock as President

Financial & Insurance Conference Professionals has appointed Jamie Murdock as president following a national executive search led by the organisation's search committee and board of directors. He takes up the role on 22 September. Murdock brings more than 25 years of hospitality and meetings experience and joins from Maritz, where he had been managing vice president of sales and industry presence since 2016 after earlier senior sales and leadership positions in the sector. Working with the board, the hospitality partner advisory committee, members, hospitality partners and the staff team from association management partner Smithbucklin, he will advance the association's strategic priorities and strengthen the value it delivers to the financial services and insurance meetings community. His initial priorities include strengthening member and hospitality partner engagement, advancing professional development and elevating industry thought leadership, while serving as an ambassador for the association across the meetings, events and hospitality industries. Board chair Lori Allen said Murdock showed a deep appreciation for the community and a thoughtful vision for building on the association's foundation. Murdock said he looks forward to listening and working alongside the board, members, partners and staff. Members will be able to meet him at the 2026 FICP Annual Conference, held 15 to 18 November at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.
