First phase of Messukeskus Solar completed

The first visible phase of the construction of Solar, the extension of the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, has been completed, and the renewed Southern Entrance came into use today. It welcomes visitors to the SSIEM 2026 Congress, which begins today, and to Habitare, which opens next Wednesday. In a press release published today, CEO Veronica Vitzthum Lindholm said construction of Solar is progressing according to plan and that the new event space has generated exceptionally strong interest among customers, with a substantial number of bookings already made. She added that Solar will strengthen the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre as an international event venue and that, upon completion, the entire façade, entrances and lobby areas will be given a new look.
