FITUR 2026 Opens 46th Edition with Spanish Royals, Record 52,000 Day-One Visitors and Mexico as Partner Country
The 46th edition of FITUR, Spain's International Tourism Fair organised by IFEMA MADRID, opened on 21 January 2026 with a ceremony attended by HM the King and Queen of Spain alongside senior government officials. The first day broke attendance records with more than 52,000 visitors. Mexico participates as Partner Country in Pavilion 3, represented by the Secretary of State for Tourism and the Ambassador of Mexico to Spain. The Knowledge Pavilion hosts more than 250 international experts and 190 travel-technology companies during the three professional days (21-23 January). The fair runs until 25 January, hosting more than 160 countries and 10,000 companies at the IFEMA MADRID complex.
