FITUR 2026 First Professional Day: 52,000 Attendees, 55% International, Up 2.6%

The first professional day of FITUR 2026, the 46th edition of Spain's International Tourism Fair at IFEMA MADRID, attracted more than 52,000 industry professionals on 21 January, a 2.6% increase over the previous edition. Notably, 55% of visitors were international, underscoring the fair's global reach. UN Tourism data shows global tourist arrivals reached 1.523 billion in 2025. The fair runs until 25 January, gathering more than 10,000 companies from over 160 countries across 9 pavilions, with specialised sections including FITUR TechY, KnowHow & Export, Screen, Lingua, Sports, Experience, FITURNEXT, 4All, Cruises and LGBT+.
