Five Sectors Accounted for 65.81% of China's Trade Exhibitions by Number in 2025
The five largest categories by number of events in China in 2025 were industry and technology with 896 shows, or 21.87% of the national total; daily consumer goods and household services with 564, or 13.77%; building construction, renovation and property services with 535, or 13.06%; transport, warehousing and postal services with 363, or 8.86%; and culture, sport and entertainment with 337, or 8.23%. Together they came to 2,695 events, up 7.71% year on year and 65.81% of the national total, broadly level with the 65.1% recorded in 2024. Measured by floor space, the five leading categories were industry and technology with 24.3%, daily consumer goods and household services with 11.5%, transport, warehousing and postal services with 10.0%, building construction and renovation with 9.8%, and food, drink and hotel services with 8.7%, together 64.3% of the national total and 4.2 percentage points less than in 2024. By region, industry and technology shows made up 24.96% of all events in the east, 17.42% in the central region and 15.06% in the west.
