Germany Took the Largest Share of China's Outbound Exhibition Space in 2025 While the United States Fell to Fourth
Measured by the floor space Chinese exhibitors occupied abroad, the top ten destination countries accounted for 70.74% of China's total outbound exhibition area in 2025. Germany led with 116,600 square metres, followed by Russia with 60,100, the United Arab Emirates with 58,500, the United States with 52,300, Japan with 43,400, Indonesia with 39,200, Brazil with 36,700, Vietnam with 26,400, Saudi Arabia with 25,600 and Italy with 25,000. The United States slipped from second place in 2024 to fourth, with its floor space falling 28.36% year on year, the sharpest decline among the leading markets. Measured instead by the number of Chinese exhibiting companies, the top ten destinations took 67.61% of the national total: Germany with 5,331 companies, the United Arab Emirates with 4,360, Russia with 4,298, the United States with 3,938 and Japan with 3,450. Germany therefore leads on both measures, while the Gulf and Southeast Asian markets rank higher on company count than on space, reflecting smaller average stands.
